Police have charged a man over the armed robbery of an adult shop at Charlestown in February of this year.
About 8pm on Wednesday 20 February 2013, two males entered an adult store on the Pacific Highway.
Police will allege that the 20-year-old female shop employee was threatened with an axe and handed over a quantity of cash.
Investigators from Lake Macquarie Local Area Command arrested an 18-year-old man at Charlestown Police Station yesterday.
He was later charged with robbery whilst armed with an offensive weapon.
The man, who it will be alleged was a juvenile at the time of the offence, was granted bail to appear at Broadmeadow Children’s Court on 30 September.
