Police have charged three teenagers with the attempted armed robbery of a take away shop in Sydney’s west yesterday.

About 1.45pm (Friday 13 September), two males entered the take away shop on Sydney Joseph Drive both armed with a knife and with their faces covered.

They threatened the female shop keeper and demanded money. The woman was holding a wok with hot oil at the time and the two males ran off empty-handed.

They left in a car driven by a third male.

Police from Quakers Hill Local Area Command established a crime scene and conducted a patrol of the surrounding area.

Later in the afternoon, police arrested the three 17-year-olds at a home in Seven Hills.

They have each been charged with attempted armed robbery in company and disguise face with intent to commit indictable offence.

They have been refused bail and will appear at court today.
