Police are investigating an aggravated robbery at a deli on Adelaide Road, Gawler South tonight.

Just after 7pm, a man armed with a spade, entered Dodds Deli, threatened staff and demanded money.

The suspect fled on a bicycle with an amount of cash.

No one was physically injured.

The suspect was seen riding off on a green bicycle, similar to a BMX, but appeared to be a ‘home-job’ make-shift bike.

The suspect is described as a man of Caucasian appearance, approximately 170cm tall, stocky build with a weathered complexion and stubble on his face.

He was wearing a dark coloured cap and hooded jumper and wrap-around sunglasses.
