Two men have been charged following investigations into an armed robbery at Kedron and the attempted armed robbery at Chermside overnight.
Around 9.45pm, the men entered a Gympie Road convenience store and allegedly threatened staff with knives before fleeing with a sum of cash.
It will be alleged the men attended a second convenience store around 10.30pm on Gympie Road and again demanded cash.
The store attendant did not comply with their demands and the men fled empty handed.
Police located and arrested both men a short time later.
No one was physically injured during both incidents.
A 20-year-old Stafford Heights man has been charged with armed robbery, attempted armed robbery and stealing.
A 24-year-old Stafford Heights man has been charged with armed robbery and attempted armed robbery.
They are both due to appear in the Pine Rivers Magistrates Court today.
Police investigations are continuing.
