Police from Bankstown are investigating the circumstances surrounding an armed robbery in Revesby overnight.

Shortly after 10pm (Monday 23 September, 2013) three men entered a hotel on River Road, armed with a shotgun.

They threatened the hotel manager, demanding cash and cigarettes.

The men stole an amount of cash and single packets of cigarettes before fleeing the hotel in a stolen blue Nissan Pulsar, the same vehicle used in a robbery at Roseville earlier.

No one was hurt during the robbery.

The car was located burnt out about 12.50am (Tuesday 24 September, 2013), at a reserve in Westville Place, Westmead.

A crime scene has been established at the hotel and a full investigation is underway.
