Detectives from Strike Force Trident have arrested a 30-year-old man for his alleged involvement in a credit card fraud ring.

Police executed a search warrant on a residence in Nakara yesterday and seized bank documents, computers, sim cards, iPads, a credit card scanner and mobile phones.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Stringer said the offender allegedly stole a number of bank cards and personal details from several co-workers.

“The offender allegedly used these details to obtain new bank cards and withdraw cash.

“Police allege the offender also set up an account through a trust fund management provider to illegally obtain funds from overseas accounts.

“The 30-year-old has been summonsed to appear in Darwin Magistrates Court on fraud charges at a later date.”
