5 October 2013 – Armed Robbery – Petrol Station – Greenacre

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a petrol station at Greenacre early this morning.

About 3:05am, Saturday 5 October 2013, a male wearing sunglasses and a “Chicago Bears” American football jersey entered the petrol station on Roberts Road.

The male who was armed with a nail gun approached the counter and threatened the console operator.

He demanded and was handed an amount of cash.

The male was last seen running from the service station in a northerly direction on Roberts Road.

Police from Bankstown Local Area Command were called and attended the petrol station.

A search of the area was conducted with the assistance of the Dog Squad however the male was unable to be located.

Detectives are now investigating the robbery and are looking for a male who has been described as Caucasian appearance, with an obese build.
