Two petrol drive-off’s at the same Hope Valley service station may be linked and with CCTV vision of the suspect, there are some similarities. The first incident was about 1 am on Sunday 29 September when the driver of a blue Toyota sedan with number plates VYI-005 that were stolen from another car at Holden Hill the day before, obtained petrol and drove off without paying . The driver wore a distinctive hooded top with a skull logo on the back and a logo on the front. On this ocassion he wore track pants with a thick white stripe running down the leg. On Friday 4 October at 9.20pm, the driver of a blue sedan with number plates WBV-735 that had been stolen earlier in the night from Valley View, obtained petrol and drove off without paying. The male driver is wearing a black hooded top with a skull logo and very similar to the first drive-off.
