17 October 2013 – Armed Robbery – Hotel – Rocklea

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a hotel on Ipswich Road last night at Rocklea.
About 10pm, two men armed with a rifle and handgun entered the hotel and ordered patrons into the bistro before ordering an employee to open the safe.
After receiving a sum of money, the offenders fled on foot.
The men are described as Maori or Pacific Islander in appearance. One man has a heavy build and was wearing a balaclava, dark clothing and pink shoes.
The other man has a slim build and was wearing a balaclava, dark clothing and grey shoes.
