Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery of a convenience store in Sydney’s inner west.

About 10.10pm yesterday (Friday 25 October 2013), a male entered the store on Marrickville Road, Marrickville.

He stated he had a firearm and threatened the 26-year-old employee before demanding money.

The offender then ran from the store and was last seen heading west on Marrickville Road.

The incident was reported to police today (Saturday 26 October 2013) about 9.15am and an investigation was launched.

Police continue to investigate the incident would like to speak to a man who they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.

He is described as wearing a black hooded jumper, grey shirt, grey tracksuit pants and white joggers. The man had his face covered.
