Police are investigating the attempted armed robbery of a Redbank Plains bakery last month have released the image of a man who may be able to assist with their enquiries.

Just before 6am on September 22, a man entered the Redbank Plains business armed with a knife, threatened a male staff member and made demands for money.

The staff member did not comply and the man fled the scene empty-handed in a red station wagon towards Springfield.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, between 170 and 180cm tall and of a proportionate build.

He was wearing a blue hooded jumper and dark tracksuit pants.
