Fawkner Embona has released images of a man and is appealing for information following an attempted robbery in Gladstone Park three weeks ago.
Detectives have been told that a man entered a bank, located in the Gladstone Park Shopping Centre, and waited in the queue on Friday 11 October about 11am.
The man approached the counter, when called for his turn, and gave the bank teller a hand written note demanding a substantial amount of money.
Security screens were activated and the bandit fled empty handed.
The wanted man was last seen getting into the drivers seat of a gold coloured Mazda Astina, believed to be a 2000 model and bearing stolen registration plates.
It was last seen heading west on Mickleham Road in Tullamarine.
The man is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, aged in his late 20s to mid 30s, unshaven with a large build and tanned complexion.
He was wearing an orange workman’s hard hat, black t-shirt with a white motif, yellow high visibility vest, grey tracksuit pants with stripes down the leg, black puma running shoes, grey coloured gardening type gloves and clear coloured safety glasses.
Police have released images of a man they believe can assist with their enquiries.
