11 November 2013 – Armed Robbery – Tavern – Sumner

Police are seeking public assistance to identify a man who entered a Sumners Road tavern dressed all in black, wearing a balaclava, carrying a kitchen knife.
Just before 1.00 am today the man forced his way into the tavern, threatened staff with the knife and demanded cash.
The man fled on foot with cash. He is described as proportionate build and about 170- 180cm tall.
No one was physically injured during the robbery.
Police inquiries continue.
