Police have charged a man following an armed robbery in Northgate this evening.

Around 7.35pmpm, a man has entered a convenience store on Flower Street and police will allege he produced a knife and demanded money and cigarettes.

The attendant complied and handed over a sum of cash and cigarettes and the man has then left the store.

A man was located a short time later and was taken into custody.

The attendant wasn’t physically injured as a result of the robbery.

A 28-year-old Northgate man has been charged with one count of armed robbery and is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on December 2.
