Police are appealing for witnesses after an armed robbery in Sydney’s south west, early this morning.

About 12.50am (Sunday 8 December 2013), two people with their faces covered have entered a service station on Hoxton Park Road, Lurnea, threatened the attendant with a knife and demanded cash.

The attendant, a 22-year-old man, refused and the two people ran away down Calabro Avenue, empty handed.

The attendant contacted police and officers from Liverpool Local Area Command attended, commencing an investigation and established a crime scene.

The attendant was uninjured as a result of the incident.

Officers would like to speak to two people who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

One is described as a man, Caucasian appearance, about 170 tall, wearing a green hoodie and tracksuit pants.

The second person, described as a woman, Caucasian appearance, about 160 tall, slim build wearing a dark hoodie and tracksuit pants.

Anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident or witnessed suspicious behaviour is asked to come forward and contact police.
