Police are appealing for assistance to identify three young men who entered the Midway Tavern bottle shop about 11.15pm on Friday, 3 January 2014, threatening staff and demanding cash. Two of the males approached the staff members armed with a golf club, steel pole and rolling pin, while the third male waited by the roller door. The female staff member handed over a sum of cash and the male staff member was assaulted with a golf club to the upper leg. The offenders were last seen running south across Yorktown Road towards Seaton Road. A witness at Seatown Road sighted two offenders armed with a steel pole and golf club running to a vehicle and driving off; however, the witness was unable to provide a description of the vehicle. The victims describe the offenders as being of Aboriginal appearance, aged in their late teens.
