Two men have been charged after the attempted robbery of a Miles End hotel last night.
Around 6.30pm, the men entered the Barkly Highway hotel and allegedly threatened two store employees whilst armed with baseball bats and making demands for money.
The hotel employees did not comply with the demands and chased the men from the business.
The men were located and arrested by police nearby with the assistance of the hotel staff.
A 22-year-old Mornington man and 25-year-old Sunset man were both charged with attempted armed robbery. They are expected to appear in the Mount Isa Magistrates Court today.
