Police are appealing for public assistance to help solve two major crimes within the Hamilton area over the last two months.

Around 11.20pm on December 30, 2013, a man approached the counter in a gaming room of the Kingsford Smith Drive business and demanded cash from the attendant and stated he had a gun.

The attendant has handed the man a sum of cash and he has then left the business.

In a second incident a man entered a Racecourse Road bank with what is believed to be a firearm around 2pm on January 9, 2014

An employee managed to activate the alarm system and the man left empty-handed. He was last seen walking south along Racecourse Road.

No one was physically injured during either incident.

The man in both incidents is described as being Caucasian in appearance, in his 30’s and with a proportionate build.
