Police are investigating the armed robbery of a fast-food restaurant at Glendale, near Lake Macquarie, at the weekend.

About 10:15pm on Sunday (26 January 2014), a man, armed with a knife, entered the restaurant on Main Road and confronted two female employees.

He was handed cash before fleeing the scene. No one was injured in the robbery.

Police were contacted and attended the scene where they conducted a search of the area with the assistance of the Dog Unit but were unable to locate the man.

Officers from Lake Macquarie Local Area Command are continuing investigations into the robbery and are looking for the man.

He has been described as being of Caucasian appearance, 183cm tall with a medium build, aged in his 30s with a fair complexion, blue eyes and wearing a khaki-coloured hooded jacket.
