ACT Policing arrested a 24-year-old Reid man following an aggravated robbery in Civic last night (Monday, 27 January).
Around 7.30pm the man entered the King O’Malley’s pub where he approached and threatened a patron with a screwdriver demanding he hand over his computer.
The patron complied with the demands and the offender left the scene.
Police attended shortly after and with the assistance of the K9 team were able to locate the offender at a nearby residence.
The arrested man, who has an active First Instant Warrant, was taken to the ACT Watch House where he was charged with aggravated robbery and common assault.
He will face ACT Magistrate’s Court today. Police will oppose bail.
