Police are appealing for public assistance following an armed robbery in Bexley North yesterday morning.

About 9.15am (Monday 3 February 2014), a 29-year-old woman attended a betting agency on Sarsfield Circuit.

As she opened the front door, she was approached by three men who forced her inside and demanded cash.

The trio fled the scene a short time later with cash.

Officers attached to St George Local Area Command were alerted and launched an investigation into the incident.

The woman was taken to Canterbury Hospital for assessment after suffering shock and was later released.

Police established a crime scene at the location, which was examined by specialist forensic officers and detectives.

The trio have only been described as wearing dark clothing, balaclavas and baseball caps.

Anyone who knows the identity of the men or has any information that could assist investigators is urged to come forward.
