Police from Campsie Local Area Command are investigating the circumstances surrounding an armed robbery at a hotel overnight.

About 1.45am (Tuesday 11 February, 2014), three men entered a hotel on Canterbury Road armed with a machete, knife and a pistol.

The men, who were all wearing balaclavas, threatened a number of staff and patrons inside the premises, assaulting one of the male patrons, leaving him with an abrasion to his head.

The three men stole an amount of cash before running from the scene.

Police were called and a crime scene was established.

Detectives from Campsie Local Area Command are now conducting further inquiries and would like to speak with anyone who may have information that could assist.
