Police are investigating the armed robbery of a convenience store on View Avenue, Surfers Paradise tonight.

Around 7pm two women entered the store. One of the women held what appeared to be a knife and demanded money from the attendant.

The pair left the premises with a sum of money and were last seen heading east along View Avenue.

One of the women is described as aged in her early 20′s, with dark hair, wearing a black T shirt, black shorts and a black baseball cap.

The second woman is described as aged in her early 20′s, with sandy hair, wearing a grey top with 3/4 length sleeves and either a black skirt or shorts.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

Investigations are continuing.
