Police are appealing for public assistance following an armed robbery at a massage parlour in Greenacre overnight.

About 9.45pm yesterday (Thursday 20 February 2014), two men, one armed with a gun, entered the business on Norfolk Road.

A female employee was threatened with the firearm and the offenders demanded money, fleing the area with an amount of cash a short time later.

T he woman was not hurt during the incident and no shots were fired.

Police from Flemington Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene, which was examined by forensic specialists.

A patrol of the area was also conducted, but the men could not be located.

Investigators would like to speak to two men in relation to the incident.

The first man is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, aged 18-25 years old, with an olive complexion, medium build and with short, black hair. He was wearing a light-coloured t-shirt and jeans.

The second man is described as wearing a black, hooded jumper and black balaclava.
