Police have released CCTV footage following the armed robbery of a fast food outlet in Warrawong last year.
About 10.15pm on Saturday 10 August, 2013, two men armed with a wooden object and a metal bar entered the outlet on King Street and threatened staff.
One of the men struck a 19-year-old male employee with the wooden object, knocking him to the ground.
The pair fled the scene a short time later with cash in two black bags.
The injured man did not require any medical treatment.
Officers attached to Lake Illawarra Local Area Command established a crime scene at the location, which was examined by specialist forensic officers and detectives.
Inquiries into the matter are continuing and police have now released CCTV footage and associated still images of two men, who may be able to assist in their investigation.
The first man depicted in the footage is described as being about 165cm tall and of a medium build. He’s shown wearing a black jacket with a red stripe on the back, black track pants and white sneakers.
The second man depicted is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander in appearance, about 25-35 years of age, around 175cm tall and of a solid build. He’s shown wearing a dark blue hooded jumper and three-quarter length grey pants, with another pair of pants/tights underneath
Both men are also shown wearing grey-coloured balaclavas.
Anyone who knows the identity of either man or has any information that could assist police is urged to come forward.
