28 February 2104 – Armed Robbery – Grocery Store – Southport

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a store at Southport this afternoon.
Around 5pm, a man entered a grocery store on Nind Street and indicated that he had a weapon in his pocket. The man demanded money from two women working in the shop. He fled through a back door after stealing a handbag.
One of the women chased the man and he dropped the bag and its contents nearby.
No one was injured during the incident.
The man was wearing a green coloured jumper, black tracksuit pants and had his face concealed with white cloth.
Investigations are continuing.
