ACT Policing has arrested a 32-year-old man of no fixed abode following an aggravated robbery at the Coles Express service station in Charnwood yesterday morning (Saturday, 8 March).
Around 6am, a man entered the service station in a red Mitsubishi Lancer and filled up the vehicle with petrol before entering the store and removing two drinks from the fridge.
The man then approached the counter, produced a knife and made demands for cash

Without obtaining any cash
, the man turned around and walked out of the store, leaving in the vehicle.
About 10.30pm, acting on information received, police attended a residence in Chisolm executed a search.
The alleged offender was found hiding in a wardrobe and was taken into custody.
The man was taken to the ACT Watch House and is expected to be charged with aggravated robbery.
