Lake Macquarie Police are appealing for public assistance following two armed robberies at the same bottle shop at Blackalls Park.

About 6.30pm on Thursday 26 December 2013, a man entered the store on South Parade, armed with a knife.

He threatened the 23-year-old male employee and demanded cash.

The man took cash before fleeing.

About 7.15pm on Friday 7 February 2014, a man armed with a knife entered the store on South Parade and demanded money from the female shop attendant.

He fled the scene a short time later with an amount of cash.

Detectives from Lake Macquarie Local Area Command are continuing their inquiries and have now released CCTV images of two men who may be able to assist in their investigation.

The first man depicted in the image is described as being of Caucasian appearance. He is wearing a white hooded jumper and black pants.

The second man depicted in the image is described as wearing a khaki hooded jumper with a red bandana.
