17 March 2014 – Armed Robbery – Service Station – Mermaid Waters

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a service station at Mermaid Waters in the early hours of this morning.
Around 1.15am a man entered the business through the front doors of the Lakeview Boulevard premises.
The man engaged the male service station attendant in conversation before producing a knife and making demands for money and cigarettes.
The store attendant opened the till and offender reached over the counter and removed the till drawer.
He fled the scene carrying the drawer containing money as well as a quantity of cigarettes.
No one was injured during the incident.
