21 March 2014 – Armed Robbery – Pizza Shop – North Mackay

Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred overnight in North Mackay.
Around 11.40pm, a man has entered a pizza shop on Evans Avenue and approached a male employee and produced what appeared to be a firearm.
He made demands for cash, and employee complied before he fled the scene through the rear of the business with a sum of cash.
No one was physically injured as result of the robbery.
The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, around 180cms tall, of a heavy build and had sandy coloured hair with his face covered with a bandana.
Investigations into the robbery are continuing.
