Detectives at Central Goldfields Crime Investigation Unit have charged a 58-year-old man following an armed robbery in Carisbrook last Friday.
It is believed the man attended the Carisbrook Transfer Station on Potts Lane shortly before 10.30am and subsequently had an altercation with the male attendant who handed over cash.
The Newstead man was arrested this afternoon and has been charged with armed robbery, assault, assault with a weapon and extortion.
He has been bailed to appear at the Maryborough Magistrate’s Court on 3 April.
