22 March 2014 – Armed Robbery – Sandwich Store – Hope Island

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a sandwich store that occurred earlier this evening.
Shortly after 7pm, a man entered the store on Hope Island Road and produced a knife.
The man has then made demands for cash, walked around the back of the counter and taken a sum of cash from the till.
He then fled the scene on foot and was last seen heading west on Hope Island Road.
No one was physically injured as a result of the robbery.
The man is described as being around 185cms tall, of a slim build and was last seen wearing a dark coloured jumper and a balaclava.
Investigations are continuing.
