Police are appealing for information following two armed robberies in Croydon and Croydon Park this morning.

Just after 3.30am (Friday 28 March 2014), a man entered a service station on Georges River Road, Croydon Park armed with a knife and demanded money from a staff member.

He fled the scene a short time later in a silver Honda Civic hatchback with cash.

Officers attached to Burwood Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

Just after 5.20am, a man entered a service station on Liverpool Road, Croydon and demanded money from a staff member.

He fled the scene on foot with cash.

Police attended and established a crime scene.

It is believed the two robberies are linked and detectives would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist them with their inquiries.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, in his mid 20s, 170cm – 180cm tall, unshaven and of heavy build.
