Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery at Chinderah, about 4km north west of Kingscliff.

About 8.30pm yesterday, (Tuesday 8 April 2014), a 58-year-old man was working at a service station on the Old Pacific Highway when a man armed with a knife entered the store and demanded money.

He fled the scene in a southerly direction a short time later with cash.

No one was injured during the incident.

Police were called and established a crime scene.

As investigations continue, detectives would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist them with their inquiries.

He is described as being about 170cm – 175cm tall, and was seen wearing a long-sleeve high-visibility orange and black jacket and had a cloth over his face.
