Police are investigating the armed robbery of a hotel at Tenambit, in the Hunter region, last night.
About 8:15pm, Monday 14 April 2014, two men entered the hotel on Metford Road and threatened two female bar staff.
The pair, armed with a firearm and baseball bat, demanded money from the staff before removing cash from the registers and fleeing the scene.
The two employees and seven patrons, who were in the hotel at the time, were not injured during the robbery.
Police from the Central Hunter Local Area Command were called to the hotel and conducted a search of the area but were unable to locate the armed men.
A crime scene was established and examined by specialist forensic officers while detectives are continuing investigations into the robbery.
