Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery in Petersham overnight.

Just after 11.30pm (Monday 14 April 2014), a man armed with a handgun entered a hotel on New Canterbury Road and threatened staff and customers, demanding cash.

He was seen leaving the scene in a car, with cash.

Officers attached to Marrickville Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

As they continue their investigations, they would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist them with their inquiries.

He is described as being 180 – 185cm tall, of medium to solid build, and was seen wearing a black hooded jumper, black long pants, black runners with white stripes on the side and carrying a red shopping bag.
