Police are investigating after a shot was fired at a patron during the armed robbery of a club at Kiama.
About 11.20pm yesterday (Saturday 26 April 2014), police were called to a club on Noorinan Street, following reports of an armed robbery.
Police have been told two men, armed with a pistol and a knife entered the club and threatened staff, demanding cash.
Officers have been told a male patron challenged the man armed with the gun, and in turn, he pointed it towards his head and pulled the trigger.
The round missed the patron and hit the wall behind him.
The men then left on foot with money and no one was injured.
Police arrived and took witness statements, also establishing a crime scene that was examined by forensic specialists.
Detectives from Lake Illawarra Local Area Command are investigating and would like to speak to two men.
The first man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 165cm tall, with a thin build and blond hair. He was wearing a black hooded Adidas jumper, dark tracksuit pants and white Dunlop Volley shoes.
The second man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 175cm tall, with a thin build and short brown hair. He was wearing a black jumper, black tracksuit pants and carrying a blue sports bag.
