Police have arrested two 16-year-old female youths – one from Gilles Plains, the other from Elizabeth East and an 18-year-old man from Elizabeth Vale for aggravated robbery at an Elizabeth service station last night.

About 10pm, one of the girls and the male entered the store on Playford Boulevard and threatened staff with a knife demanding money.

The attendant refused their demands and told them to leave.

They did, but helped themselves to some packets of chips on the way out.

Quick work by police led to all three being arrested and charged with aggravated robbery.

It is expected all three will appear in Elizabeth Magistrates and Youth Court some time today.
