A man is due to appear in court next week after he was arrested in Queensland.

About 7.20am today (Saturday 10 May 2014), police attached to the Robbery and Serious Crime Unit, and detectives attached to the Cairns Criminal Investigation Branch, attended an address in Woree to arrest a man in relation to an outstanding warrant.

Police allege the man was involved in an armed robbery at a hotel in Lewisham, New South Wales, on Monday 16 December 2013.

The 29-year-old man is due to appear in Cairns Magistrates Court on Monday 12 May 2014 where it is expected that New South Wales police will apply for his extradition to New South Wales.
