Police have charged a 19-year-old man following the alleged attempted armed robbery of a fast food store at Warwick this morning.
It will be alleged around 4am a man approached the drive-through window of the Albion Street business on foot before producing a broken glass bottle and demanding staff hand over cash.
The employees refused the man’s demands and alerted police.
Officers arrested the man at the scene a short time later.
A 19-year-old Warwick man has been charged with one count each of attempted armed robbery and entering a premises with intent.
He is due to appear in the Warwick Magistrates Court tomorrow.
