Police are investigating the armed robbery of a liquor store in Brinsmead earlier this evening.

Initial investigations indicate that around 8.50pm a man entered the store on Loridan Drive and demanded money from the attendant, while armed with a knife.

The attendant complied and the man left on-foot with a sum of cash.

No physical injuries were sustained as a result if this incident,

The man is described as being around 180cm tall, with a solid build and was last seen wearing black jeans, a grey hooded-jumper, work boots, a ski mask and gloves.

There is no further information available at this stage.  Investigations are continuing,
