Police are appealing for information after a store was robbed at Wiley Park last night.
About 9.20pm yesterday (Wednesday 4 June 2014), two men wearing ‘hoodies’ entered a store on King Georges Road armed with a handgun.
The men threatened two male staff members, demanding cash.
Staff complied with the pair’s demands and they left the store on foot with money and cigarettes.
An attendant threw a chair as the men were leaving, causing possible injuries to one of the offenders. They were last seen running south along King Georges Road.
Police from Campsie Local Area Command were called to the store and established a crime scene.
Detectives would now like to speak to two men who may be able to assist with inquiries.
The first man is described as being approximately 160cm tall with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a dark-coloured hooded jumper, beige pants, and black sneakers.
The second man is described as being approximately 196cm tall. He was last seen wearing a maroon hooded jumper, black Adidas tracksuit pants, and white runners. Police have been told he was also carrying a black Nike bag.
