Police recently charged two men following a series of armed robberies across Melbourne.
The men were arrested by detectives on 21 and 22 May.
Sam Wathen was charged with nine counts of armed robbery and the 22-year-old Essendon man was remanded to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 13 August, 2014.
Michael Calleja was charged with four counts of armed robbery and the 24-year-old Airport West man will appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 6 June.
The charges related to a number of alleged armed robberies including those at a service station in South Melbourne on 9 November and a service station in Kealba on 6 December last year, along with one at a service station in Brunswick East on 19 March, 2014.
