Police are investigating following an armed robbery that occurred earlier this morning in Woollongabba.
Around 2.15am, two men have used a sledge hammer to smash through the glass door of a hotel on Stanley Street East and have entered the bar area.
They have then approached an employee and made demands for cash.
The male attendant has complied and the two men have fled the scene with a sum of cash.
The attendant wasn’t physically injured during the robbery.
The first man is described as being around 180cms tall, of a slim build and was last seen wearing a black hooded jumper, black pants and blue running shoes.
The second man is described as being around 175cms tall, of a slim build and was last seen wearing a grey hooded jumper, dark grey pants and white shoes.
Both men had their faces covered.
Investigations into the incident are continuing.
