Police have released CCTV images after the armed robbery of a service station at Revesby earlier this week.
About 4am on Wednesday 11 June 2014, a car, described as a purple Daihatsu Charade, was parked at a service station on Canterbury Road near the corner of Mavis Street.
The number plates of the car appear to have been covered.
The male driver, who was the sole occupant, alighted the vehicle and approached the entrance carrying a machete.
The male attendants locked themselves in a rear storeroom.
The driver forced his way in before climbing into the counter area. Money was stolen from two cash registers.
The man left the station in the purple car and was last seen driving west along Canterbury Road.
Police from Bankstown Local Area Command attended the service station and established a crime scene.
Detectives have today (Friday 13 June 2014) released CCTV images of a man who might be able to assist the investigation.
The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, approximately 170cm tall, with a medium build. He is shown in the images wearing a red hooded jumper, pink T-shirt, grey tracksuit pants, Nike shoes, and carrying a white bag.
Officers have also released two images of the car involved.
