Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred overnight at The Gap.

Around 11.45pm, a man has entered a tavern on Glenquarie Place and approached staff near the gaming room.

He has allegedly produced a knife and demanded alcohol.

The attendant has complied and has given the man a number of bottles of spirits.

The man has then fled the scene and was last seen on foot in the rear car park of the business.

The attendant wasn’t physically injured as a result of the robbery.

The man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, of a solid build and was around 175cms tall.

He was last seen wearing a dark short sleeved t-shirt, grey pants and had thick black short hair with a fringe.

Investigations are continuing.
