Police have charged a man over an armed robbery in Fairfield West last week.

About 11.20am on Wednesday 18 June 2014, police responded to reports a Thorney Road convenience store had been robbed by a man with a knife.

Following an investigation by detectives from Fairfield Local Area Command, a man was arrested about 4.15pm yesterday (Wednesday June 25 2014) at an address in Fairfield Heights.

The 29-year-old man was charged with robbery armed with offensive weapon, and refused bail to appear in Fairfield Local Court today (Thursday 26 June 2014).
