Police are investigating the armed robbery of a hotel at Spring Hill last night.
Around 10pm two men entered the foyer of the Wickham Terrace hotel and threatened staff with a tomahawk and a sledge hammer.
The pair stole cash from the office area before stealing a wallet and a handbag from employees.
One of the men entered the bar area and was threatening a staff member when another employee forced the man to the ground. A struggle ensued before both men fled the hotel.
The first man is described as being Pacific Islander in appearance, tall with a proportionate build, dark hair. He was wearing a black hooded jumper, dark trousers and white sneakers.
The second man is described as being Pacific Islander in appearance, short with a proportionate build and dark hair. He was wearing a dark hooded jumper, dark trousers and white sneakers.
No one was physically injured during the incident.
Police investigations are continuing.
