Police are investigating the armed robbery of a supermarket at Crestmead last night.

Around 7.45pm a man walked into the Waratah Drive business and demanded the female staff member hand over cash from the till.

The man made threats, implying he was armed with a firearm.

The employee complied with his demands and the man fled the store with a sum of cash.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

Police are reviewing CCTV footage as investigations continue.
