15 July 3014 – Armed Robbery – Taxi Driver – Karama

Serious Crime Detectives have charged a 23-year-old man in relation to a robbery of a taxi driver in Karama last Friday.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Karl Day said Police allege the man was also involved in a robbery that occurred at a residence in Wagaman on 3 July.

“Police arrested the man today and charged him with the following offences:

Aggravated Robbery

Unlawful entry with intent

Assault

Armed with an offensive weapon.

“He was remanded in custody and will appear in Darwin Magistrates Court on Wednesday, 16 July.

“Police would like to thank the public for their assistance in these matters.”
